Leyland Market
South Ribble Borough Council operates Leyland Market, which moved from its market square near the St Andrew's Church to a newly renovated market hall on Northcote Street, off Hough Lane, in November 2000.
Leyland Market is vibrant and bustling, where shoppers can choose from a variety of different stalls. It is bucking the trend of markets in neighbouring towns by operating at full capacity.
At a time when many shopping districts are struggling, there is also a waiting list of would-be stall-holders, and there are aspirations to expand the market hall when the economy picks up.
There are a wide variety of stalls to browse:
- Clothes and accessories
- Butchers
- Fish Mongers
- Plants and flowers
- Cards
- Pet food
- Shoes and dance wear
- Books - new and used
- Haberdashery
- Cakes and confectionary
- Cheese Stall
- Hairdressers
- Electrical
- Lighting
- Fruit and veg stall
The opening times are:-
Tuesday 8:30 - 17:00
Friday 8:30 - 17:00
Saturday 8:30 - 16:30
Cafe - Open 6 days a week 8:30 - 16:30
