  • Dangerous, Exotic and Wild Animal Licences

    The Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976 regulates the keeping of dangerous wild animals. It aims to ensure that where private individuals keep such animals, they do so in circumstances which create no risk to the public and, to some extent, safeguard the welfare of the animals. This is done by means of a local authority licensing regime.

  • Disabled people - blue badges

    Blue parking badges allow cars carrying people who are registered disabled to park in designated bays, generally near shops, stations and other facilities. In South Ribble, the blue badge scheme is administered by Lancashire County Council. This page provides information about who may be eligible and how to apply to the County Council for a blue badge.

  • Disabled people - parking bays

    Parking bays for use by disabled ‘blue badge’ holders are provided at most car parks and around public amenities. In addition, drivers who hold a blue badge can request Lancashire County Council to provide them with a disabled parking bay close to their home. This page provides further details about who can apply for a bay and what factors will be taken into consideration when determining an application.
