Noise
The Environmental Health Team receives several hundred requests each year from people who are suffering noise nuisance from their neighbours. Noise is a constant feature of daily life and we all contribute to noise levels, whether by playing music, talking or just going about our daily business. Unfortunately when noise is too loud, too intrusive or happens at inconsiderate times or without warning. it can reduce people's quality of life and sometimes destroy it entirely.

Noise at Work - Health and Safety
Excessive exposure to noise can cause tinnitus and permanent hearing loss. For this reason The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 require the exposure of employees to noise at work to be controlled.
