Lancashire Enterprise Zone Masterplan

Lancashire Enterprise Zone was approved in Autumn 2011 and will be based at Samlesbury, in South Ribble, and Warton, in Fylde

The Enterprise Zone is solely focused on the advanced engineering sector, and will form a centre of excellence for high technology manufacturing. It will act as a nucleus to attract organisations which are directly involved in the industry, or provide support services.

A Master Plan and Local Development Order (version 2) have been prepared on behalf of the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership to establish a framework for the long term, strategic objectives of the Samlesbury Enterprise Zone.

Public consultations are now complete and copies of all representation received have been forwarded to Ribble Valley Borough Council, Lancashire County Council and the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership. Letters referring to the Masterplan can be viewed on this page and at the Civic Centre, Leyland.

A summary of the comments and Lancashire County Councils response to the Masterplan can be found below, each can be accessed by following the link for each document.

A report was approved at Planning Committee on the 15th January 2014 and has now been adopted.
