Disrepair:

We believe that everyone has the right to a decent home. If you are renting a property you may have a right to repairs. For advice on how to get repairs done see the leaflet "How to get repairs done".

Homelessness

If you are homeless or threatened with homelessness you may need advice on what action you may be able to take, what housing options you may have and any help that you may be able to receive from the local authority. The local authority has a responsibility to certain homeless or threatened with homeless persons. For more information select the link homelessness - help and advice

Domestic Violence - If you or someone you know is suffering domestic abuse we can provide advice and assistance including a place of safety either in local authority accommodation or within the refuge network.


Harassment & Illegal eviction

Everyone has the right to a decent and secure home. The law protects people living in residential property against harassment and illegal eviction - For advice on your rights see the leaflet "Harassment & Illegal Eviction".

Possession proceedings

Many people have difficulty paying their rent or mortgage especially if they become unemployed or separated from their partner. If you are in arrears get advice as soon as possible. You can get free confidential advice from the housing advisor. There are various ways they may be able to help including representation and / or support in court.
