Street cleaning programme

For the purposes of street cleaning, South Ribble Borough Council has been split into four areas: These are Leyland, Penwortham & Western Parishes, Farington & Lostock Hall and Bamber Bridge/Walton Le Dale.

Within each area, the main town centres are cleaned on a daily basis and this also includes the emptying of litter bins and dog bins.  There is a programme whereby all streets within each area will be cleaned but this can be  weekly, fortnightly, monthly or just upon request.  There is also a programme for the roads to be mechanically swept and the whole borough is swept approximately 5 times per year.
