Active Camps is a fun, friendly environment for kids to enjoy games, play sport and meet new friends under the guidance of the South Ribble Sports Development team. First held in the summer of 2018, the camps were created to provide more sport and opportunity outside of school term time. Active camps welcomed children from all over the borough and proved to be a huge success. The camps have gone from strength to strength introducing new sports and activities every time!

These activities include, Football, Rounder’s, Cricket, Rugby, Dodgeball, Archery & many more. We also include lots of activities which you may not see anywhere else – UV Sport, All Things Pedal Days as well as Yoga & Mindfulness.

  • All Things Pedal Day, Thursday 9th April: Learn to ride, cycle confidence, fun skills games, basic cycle maintenance, bikeability, preparation, and more.
  • Scoot Morning, Wednesday 8th April: Scooter skills, scooting safely, fun games, basic maintenance

Active Camps are delivered by qualified Sports Development Coaches from South Ribble Borough Council.

They have years of experience, teaching a variety of sports and P.E. classes in schools around Lancashire, and the Active Camps have been running for almost a decade.
