Safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults, and to delivering services that promote good practice, and expects all council representatives, colleagues and partners to share this commitment. 

We have policies that set out our commitment to addressing all safeguarding issues and ensuring that employees are aware of their responsibilities and that the appropriate agencies are engaging in providing a response to any concerns raised. Our policies outline what should be the response of a council representative if they encounter a safeguarding issue.

If you are concerned about the safety of a child or adult

Lancashire County Council (LCC) are responsible for adult and children's social care in the Chorley borough. Its social care services include:
