Exciting news as star line-up revealed for brand new Music In The Park event

Music in the Park

Music In The Park will take place on Friday 3 June 2022 in the fantastic setting of Worden Park, Leyland, Lancashire.

Tune in to the 80s for a great line-up including chart-toppers Tony Hadley, Heaven 17, T'Pau, Go West and a DJ set from 80s icon Pat Sharp.

The event is back bigger and better after the original show was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic.

Music In The Park will be part of a Bank Holiday weekend of fantastic entertainment in South Ribble to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, with the famous Leyland Festival also taking place on Thursday 2 June.

Eighties superstar Tony Hadley has been performing for over 40 years and regularly tours with his band and as a solo artist. He started out as the front man for the New Romantic band Spandau Ballet in the 80s with their classic songs 'Gold', 'True' and 'Through the Barricades'.

Heaven 17 hits from the early 80s include 'Temptation' and 'Come Live With Me' from their albums Penthouse and Pavement and The Luxury Gap.

Go West's top 10 smashes include 'King of Wishful Thinking', 'We Close Our Eyes' and 'Goodbye Girl'. The band are stronger than ever and have a 35-date tour planned for 2022 including Music In The Park.

Meanwhile, T'Pau featuring Carol Decker are sure to include the classic No. 1 chart ballad 'China In Your Hand' and 'Heart and Soul' in their set.

Tickets are now on sale through Skiddle at www.musicinthepark.live. Ticket prices are £35 for standard entry and £55 for premium entry (plus booking fee). Premium ticket holders will benefit from fast track entry, access to Artisan bars, upgraded toilets and a dedicated viewing area.

A limited amount of the tickets on Skiddle are available to pay for in instalments, allowing you to secure your ticket with a deposit and then pay the balance later.

Councillor Paul Foster, Leader of South Ribble Borough Council, said: "It's fantastic that we can finally bring this event to life. So many people were disappointed when last year's event was cancelled but we had to do what we needed to do to keep people safe.

"We're absolutely delighted to bring an even bigger and better event to South Ribble in 2022 for everyone to enjoy as we get back to enjoying live music.

"If you're looking for a perfect Christmas present for a loved one, or just want to treat yourself, get your tickets now!"
