Currently on hold: Bulky waste collections

South Ribble Borough Council has taken the decision to suspend all new requests for bulky waste collections.

We will be taking no new requests at this time.

If you have a bulky waste collection which has already been processed and a date arranged, we will honour this and come and collect your items - the only exception to this is white goods, which we cannot collect at this time, so you will be issued a full refund.

Please call 01772 625 625 to arrange this; or if lines are busy, drop an email to info@southribble.gov.uk

We provide a special collection service for bulky items of household waste.

There is a charge to collect bulky items of household waste from your home. The charge for the collection of up to four non-electrical items is £16, with additional items costing £4 each. Electrical household items are currently charged at £12 per item.

Contact us by phone to arrange a collection. You will be given a date of collection at the time of booking so you know when to have your items ready. They should be accessible outside your home from 7:30am on your day of collection.

Please note that we are unable to collect the following items:

• Fixtures and fittings like kitchen units and bathroom suites
• Rubble and hardcore
• Garden waste
• Soil
• Tiles
• Tyres
• Car batteries
• Gas cylinders
• Hazardous waste

You can also dispose of bulky household items free of charge at the Household Waste Recycling Centre on Flensburg Way.
