Bulky waste collections
South Ribble Borough Council operates its own bulky waste collection service.
Bulky waste collections are currently running as normal — however, we are experiencing high levels of demand for the service.
Depending on whereabouts you live in South Ribble, you may have to wait until the 2021 to access this service, as slots are already full. Call our Gateway Customer Services Team on 01772 625 625 to find out more.
COVID-19 safety guidelines to follow when considering whether to book a bulky waste collection
Our bulky waste collections are running as usual during the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, it is very important that you adhere to the following safety guidance:
- If anyone at the property is currently diagnosed or symptomatic with coronavirus, the items need to be outside for 72hrs (covered if soft furnishings and freely available without further interaction with the occupants) prior to collection
- If you have booked, are symptomatic and have not allowed the 72 hours, you will need to instead book for the following week.
You can book your collection by calling 01772 625 625.
