Allotment gardening provides a wide range of benefits, both to communities and the environment.

South Ribble Borough Council owns several sites which are administered by allotment societies.

As well as providing low-cost food and flowers, keeping an allotment can be a great way to stay healthy and meet people. Allotments often provide habitats for many forms of wildlife too.
