South Ribble Green Links

The Green Links project incorporates parks, green links and open spaces and looks to improve or install new pathways to provide people with a way of enjoying the outdoors, getting active, and improving their health and wellbeing.

The Green links programme aims to help improve air quality in South Ribble by providing green transport routes. Green Links aims to improve 76 kilometres of path networks and improve 76 hectares of green space, parks and woodland.

The first new Green Link was opened at Dog Kennel Wood in Bamber Bridge in July 2019. You can read all about it here. New Green Links in Wade Hall will be open by the end of 2019 and a further 7 kilometres of the Leyland Loop green links are planned to be open by March 2020.
