Living Well Walk — Saturday 5 October 2019

Come and Join Us on a Dementia Friendly Living Well Walk!

We will be taking a short walk stretching 780m through the scenic Longton Brickcroft nature reserve. This route is suitable for all with frequent benches for resting throughout, each with a beautiful view. For those who would like to walk further, the route in circular so why not walk do another lap?

This event aims to bring people together to raise awareness of the services and opportunities available for those across South Ribble who are either living with dementia, or caring for somebody who is.

Anybody can attend this event and it is FREE of charge! Come along and become a Dementia Friend, by doing this you can learn how you can become more understanding and supportive for those who live with dementia within our communities.

There will be information stalls facilitated by partners from across the borough who offer services to support those living with dementia, and all who attend will be given a copy of our Living Well Guide to take away. This guide is full of advice for living with dementia and provides an overview of the services and social events on offer across the borough.

These stalls will be accompanied by complementary light refreshments.

A live music performance will commence from 11:00am by Katy Bradley, this will include sing along hits from the 50s and 60s.
