*BIIAB Level 2 Personal Licence Holder Course CANCELLED*
Unfortunately, all meetings/courses have been cancelled at the civic centre offices as a precautionary measure considering the coronavirus outbreak and the guidance being issued by the government. This means the proposed courses on 26/03/2020, 30/04/2020, 28/05/2020, 26/06/2020 for the BIIAB Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders qualification is now cancelled.
We would like to apologies if this causes any inconvenience to anyone who has booked on or is planning to book on the course. The next available date for the course will be 30/07/2020. We will re-evaluate closer to that time, taking into account government guidance if that date will go ahead.
What is a Personal Licence?
A Personal Licence is required to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol. Additionally, a Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) is required to be affiliated (in day-to-day control) with any premises that sells alcohol. The pre-requisite to being a DPS is that you must be a Personal Licence holder first. The application process for a personal licence is made to the Authority in which you reside, and the eligibility criteria are: You must be over 18; must not have any convictions for any relevant offences; must not have forfeited a licence in the last 5 years; must hold the recognised qualification (Level 2 APLH).
The Council is now accredited to run courses and invigilate exams in order for you to obtain your Personal Licence.

£120 per delegate.

Where and when do I receive the training to gain my Personal Licence?
We, South Ribble Borough Council, are offering the following course dates on which you can undertake the necessary training in order to sit your exam, which will take place immediately afterwards. Each course starts at 9:30am. You then sit the exam at 3:00pm. Finishes 4:15pm.

Is the Council an accredited training centre?
Yes – we are registered with the British Insitute of Innkeepers Awarding Board (BIIAB) as an accredited training centre. Our centre number is C02145.
How do I get there?
The course and exam both take place at South Ribble Borough Council, West Paddock, Leyland, Lancashire, PR25 1DH.
Once you arrive, report to Gateway, the Council's customer services reception. They will direct you to the Cross Room, where your course will take place. Aim to arrive for 9.15pm. Tea, coffee, refreshments available.
