South Ribble Together Roadshow

Find out all about our roadshow here

We are very excited to bring to you our first South Ribble Together Roadshow where we bring a range of partners to you, to provide support for your home, health and work.  Come and visit our advice bus which will be moving around our borough to reach as many residents as possible.

We will be joined throughout a three week period by Progress Housing, Progress Futures, Citizens Advice, Credit Union and our own Social Prescribing Team and more to be able to support you with any queries you may have.  We will be able to sign you up to various courses with Lancashire Adult Learning and UDevelop CIC so you can learn practical ways of helping yourselves as well as learn about the great benefits of using advice services like Credit Union and Citizens Advice.

South Ribble Together

The council has a Social Prescribing Team who are there to support you and build confidence to manage your own health and wellbeing and address any other issues that may be impacting your day to day life.

You can speak with a member of our team who will be able to understand if our service could help you, or whether we may be able to put you in touch with other services who are better placed to help.

The support we provide is free, confidential and personalised support that starts with you and guided by you. Once you have contacted us, someone will be in touch with you for a chat to get to know what we can help you with, from there we will sort out an appointment and support going forward. We want to support you in a way that works for you, so you will have the choice over if you wish to have your appointments over the phone or in person.

Here is an example of some of the issues we can support with:

  • money worries
  • housing issues
  • isolation / loneliness
  • employment / new skills
  • diet / exercise
  • mental health and wellbeing
